Kos island has been a tourist island for many years, there are a number of resorts on the island which are popular with tourists from around the world. Kos is steeped in history with many old villages and archaeological sites, being the home of Hippocrates and the Asklepeion, the island is known worldwide.
The main resorts here on the island are Kos Town (main town), Kardamena, Tingaki, Kefalos, Mastichari, Marmari, Psalidi and Lambi (part of Kos Town), although there are many small villages throughout the island.
