Kardamena traditionally was a fishing village. However, over the years it has been slowly built up and is now one of the main tourist resorts on the island which is adored, especially by the British.
Kardamena offers beautiful sandy beaches, a lovely harbour and it is surrounded by countryside and sheltered by the mountain. It is also now home to many large and exclusive hotels, small and friendly ones and lots of self catering units. Kardamena is a popular resort and many visitors world wide return again and again.
