Banana Beach is a British owned beach bar situated on the lovely sandy beach in Kardamena. The owners have been welcoming customers into their bar since 1993 to enjoy an ice cold beverage morning, noon and night.
You can relax on the beach or in the bar throughout the day and enjoy a range of snacks and a good old fashioned English breakfast.
They welcome locals and regulars who come back year after year to enjoy the great hospitality, music and of course the wonderful view.

It’s been a few years since my visit to Kardemena but my family and I have had many tasty meals and drinks at the Banana Beach Cafe Bar.
Carol and Paul are great people and there is always a warm welcome at there establishment.
I do look forward to my next visit.

We have been going to Kardamena for 10 years twice a year. About 5 years ago we went for a walk to the end of the village and came across Banana Bar. What first struck us was that the beach was not packed like sardines as are the other beaches and it was quiet with beautiful views to the mountains, Turkey and Nisyros. We decided to try it the following day and have been going ever since. At night time, the beach bar takes on a whole new feeling with good banter, music and atmophere, sing alongs are quite a common occurance. Parking for cars or mopeds is available at all times. Apparently, this is the longest run english beach bar in Kardamena. As the owners live in the village all year round, they can give good advice about all aspects of island life. A place to definitely visit. Can’t wait to go back

ooooooooooops ha ha if you have not visited banana beach you have missed out on one of the most friendliest bars in kardamena ,good food ,good company ,ice cold beer,jd at ten in morning,and the view is brilliant while having a drink or a meal ,have a look.

We have been going to Kardamena since 1998 and Banana Beach is one place we keep on going back to.
Carol and Paul are very friendly and welcoming, they do excellent food and there’s a fantastic view of the beach.
Can’t wait to get back out and see Carol and Paul, Banana Beach will be one of our first ports of call!

We’ve been going to Kardemena and Banana beach for the last 8 years. We found Banana beach by chance one day when having a walk. Really glad we did we’ve been going there ever since.it’s a brilliant bar with excellent food drink and lovely hospitality.

best bar in kardamena. great banter with paul and informative conversation with carol. nice ice cold beers and good food at reasonable prices. try it you won’t be dissapointed.
also good beds on beach also reasonable priced’

We have been going to banana beach now for a couple of years, you cannot go to kardamena and not visit. Paul and carol are great, fab food, and plenty of drink!!!!! Love the place

We were taken to this bar by Ted Smith, who said the people who ran this bar were brilliant. Well, Ted doesnt get much wrong, and so it proved. Carol & Paul make you feel part of the family that is Banana Beach. Even had our pre/post wedding drinks here, cannot fault them, Paul even turns taxi driver for the elderly guests. I can sit at Banana Beach and watch the world go by with stunning views. Give it a try,and youll be back time after time.

Lovely little bar right on the beach run by a great couple Carol and Paul….and not forgetting Gizzmo the dog its people and places like this that are part of the reason we return back to Kos every year

Much of it has all been said before, but I have to congratulate Carol and Paul on their consistently high quality food. For the 15 years I have been visiting Kardamena, their breakfast is better than anything served in bars or hotels locally. As already mentioned, beer served in cold glasses is a real joy after a hard day (going pink in my case) on the beach, but they really are lovely hosts and the perfect company. Paul would also expect me to add that if you like a bit of banter, he can deliver a better class of insult too!
